At its core, this is a story of David and Goliath
Here, David is a young female college student fleeing accusations of murder, and Goliath is the combined might of local and federal law enforcement determined to apprehend her. Fair warning: The smart money is always on Goliath.
In this thriller there will be no Ethan Hunt or Jason Bourne to rush in and save the day. Her only weapons will be a stranger she meets in a dumpster, who claims to know her, and his dead cell phone. Sadly, this may prove lacking when the shit hits the fan. Especially when a pair of eastern European mercenaries arrive to assure she is Dead By Monday.
When young college student, Kathryn Benton, comes home one night and learns her parents have been brutally murdered, porch camera video reveals the killer’s identities—two meth-heads known in the neighborhood as trouble. In that moment, rage supersedes sanity. She tracks and kills them but, having no experience with committing a crime, is quickly arrested. With Kathryn facing the death sentence or life in prison, she awaits trial.
A ruthless politician, seeing Kathryn’s misfortune as an opportunity to increase his power, devises a plan whereby Kathryn is coerced into assassinating an innocent man, that she’s been persuaded is a terrorist, in exchange for her freedom. However, for the politician’s plan to succeed, Kathryn must be killed before she can tell the truth.
When unexpected circumstances allow Kathryn to escape, she has four days to find out who wants her dead, gather proof that she was lied to, and create a new life, while evading FBI and police working to capture her to stand trial for her crimes. With authorities closing in by the hour, Kathryn further discovers two foreign mercenaries have been unleashed to assure she is DEAD BY MONDAY.
